Leisure Facilities at the Hotel California, Newquay
The hotel offers many leisure and sporting activities, from the skill of snooker on our full size table, to an energetic game of squash or table tennis. Our more relaxing leisure facilities include a beautifully heated indoor pool with spa bath, outdoor heated pool (seasonal), a sauna and for that extra top-up tan, our vertical solarium is ideal.
Our popular 4 lane American Ten Pin Bowling Alley offers friendly competition and fun for all the family to enjoy. With it’s American themed Bar & Grill, it offers drinks and light snacks throughout the day and evening to both residents and non-residents, 7 days a week.
The hotel is also well situated for many other activities. These include deep sea and lake fishing, both available nearby, horse riding along the River Gannel, or walking along the coastal path with its breathtaking scenery. Wining and Dining at Hotel California, Newquay
With a daily changing 3 course Table d’Hote menu, the restaurant offers something to suit all tastes, with dishes ranging from traditional English roasts to those that have influences from around the world. For those wishing to enjoy the hotel speciality, try our local Cornish fish and seafood, brought to us fresh each day, direct from the sea!
The restaurant is open to non-residents, with dinner being served 7 nights a week between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m., and bookings can be made by telephoning the hotel reception on 01637 872798. We cater for vegetarians and any other special dietary requirements, so please do advise us of these when booking.
Whether you are enjoying breakfast or dinner, the setting of the restaurant offers fantastic views of the estuary and the countryside from most tables. Our restaurant is also available to hire for weddings and private functions.
